Trex IPTV belongs to a family of services sold as an app first and a subscription second. That order matters, because it decides what you can and cannot change when something stops working.
When a service is tied to its own player, your credentials only work inside that player. If the app is pulled, breaks on a device update or is not available for the TV you buy next, the subscription goes with it. There is no exporting it into another player.
Services sold as a plain line – a server address, a username and a password – do not have that problem, because any standard player will take them.
These are worth confirming while you can still walk away.
Most households end up with a mix: a stick on the main TV, a phone for the kitchen, maybe a laptop. A line that only lives inside one app tends to work on one of those and disappoint on the rest. Confirm the device list before you pay rather than after.
You do not need new hardware. Install a standard player on the device you own, enter a working server address with a username and password, and you are watching again on the same screen.
