Work out your real number
Count the screens that are genuinely in use at the same time on a normal evening, not the devices you own. Most households need one or two. A third is worth paying for when someone watches in a bedroom while the main TV is on, or when a phone is used away from home at the same time.

Upgrading later
With most sellers, moving up a tier is a new line rather than a switch you flip, so it is worth being honest about the number at the start. It is a smaller cost than a year on the wrong one.
